Operation Christmas Child

This year, our school will be participating in Operation Christmas Child. This program sends Christmas to children in poverty-stricken areas of the world such as Africa, India, China, Mexico and the United States.

If you would like to participate, you can make your own shoebox or send items to Mrs. Fuentes and a team will put the shoebox together.

Operation Christmas Child asks that we do not send any candy or liquids such as lotion or bottle glue. They also ask that we do not include any toys that are guns.

Some ideas to include in the box is:

Pencils and a small sharpener
Small pair of scissors
Underwear
Socks
T-shirts
Colored pencils (wax crayons tend to melt)
Toothbrushes
Washcloths
Bars of soap
Barrettes, ponytail holders, headbands
Small tools- hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches
Summer type clothes (these boxes go to warmer winter climates)
Toys

All boxes need to be in to Mrs. Fuentes by November 10th.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Fuentes or Mrs. Kinsella at kfuentes@lascrucescatholicschool.com or jkinsella@lascrucescatholicschool.com
